A stunning mosaic showing a scene from the theatre, thus giving the name to the house.  This mosaic is now in the Museum in Naples.
    The house is of medium importance but it is the mosaic at the entrance warning visitors of ‘BEWARE OF THE DOG’  The affresco adorning the Triclinio of Venus and cupids, Arianna who had been left by  Teseo.
