The House Of Fauno

Lovely, the House of Fauna lends its name to a bronze statue of a faun  located in the impluvium.  Its one of the most famous in the whole of Pompei.  The house sits on 3,000square metres, part of which the owners used and a part for the servants quarters.  The rooms overlook the gardens, again we  can see statues, affrescos and magnificent mosaics show in all their glory just how rich these people were, and its from this house you will see the famous mosaic representing the victor of Alessandro Magno against Dario (probable at the battle of Isso) and the Persians, this mosaic is now preserved in the Museum of Naples.
